Vermont's Freedom & Unity Chorus got off to a great start in July as we returned to in-person rehearsals. We were very pleased to receive an invitation to sing at the first Community Rally for Togetherness presented by Neighbors for a Safer St. Albans (NSSA). The event was in response to a town hall held that evening to spread misinformation about Critical Race Theory in Vermont schools. Rather than protest at the town hall, NSSA chose to unite the community in love with a family friendly event that included a free potluck, face painting, art activities, lawn games, music and community speakers.

Unfortunately, we have had to pause in-person rehearsals again due to high rates of community transmission of the COVID virus. We count ourselves very lucky to have had this moment in time to sing together and live out our mission as a chorus. While we have moved back to virtual sessions on Zoom for the safety of our chorus members and their families, we hope to return to in-person rehearsals come January 2022. Until then, be on the lookout for another virtual choir performance from us!
